What could have
been - the beautifully-restored adjoining house up the road in High
Street.

All men are equal,
but some are more equal than others.
This house of much less value just a few doors up from the Baroque
had to have its facade preserved although it had no historic and
architectural value. Why not the older one? A case of two weights
and two measures.
